Lautner confesses that he had to gain 30 pounds of muscle for his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel: New Moon but Taylor has always been a fitness enthusiast. Taylor became a black belt in karate at the age of 11, winning the Junior World Championships the following year.
It was on a trip to Los Angeles, either for karate or training or competition, that Taylor had his first audition and fell in love with acting and the rest.. is of course history!
