Johnny Depp is he really the Sexiest Man Alive? Depp was named People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2009 as we mentioned earlier. This is Johnny‘s second Sexiest Man Alive cover. He joins the ranks with other double winners Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Depp is starring in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland as well as next month’s Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, in which (as People magazine reports) he stepped in to take over Heath Ledger‘s role after he died.

As the magazine combed through Depp‘s co-stars, they culled an archive of nice things.
“Johnny Depp has magical powers. He’s unlike anyone else,” says actress Isla Fisher, who’s married to Sacha Baron Cohen. “He’s funny, generous and clever. It’s just a shame he’s so hard on the eyes.”
Adds Missi Pyle, his Charlie and the Chocolate Factory co-star:
He’s flattered by the effect he has on women, yet really doesn’t care. That’s sexy too.”
Ok, is he really that sexy? At 46, he doesn’t look shabby at all that’s for sure. Sexy, probably very much so. He’s a genereous, he offers to bail out Nicolas Cage for old time sake; he’s a huge box officer hitter, Depp has a very hefty price tag, he’s sealed a $38 million guaranted deal to return as Captain Jack Sparrow in the forth Pirates of the Caribbean. Is he sexy? Very much so!
