Jon Gosselin says fame went to his head. Gee – is anyone shocked by Jon’s – yet another public – statement and apology? Not really. Jon sits in front at a church, with his new spiritual leader the Rabbi Boteach, complete with a sponsor sign, and says he is sorry. He gives reasons for his actions as well.

Jon does what you might expect…he apologizes to Kate, he says he is still with Hailey but in private and he doesn’t like fame. Is anybody buying this change of face? From People Magazine:

“I want to apologize to Kate in private,” he said. “I’ll apologize to her for openly having relationships in the public eye. That was a huge mistake, because if she would’ve done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off. Not because our relationship is over, it’s almost like a stab in the back. And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it.”

I wonder what is really at the root of the humble pie. Did Jon realize he was going to miss out on future installments or residuals from the show? Did someone show him the light that his ex has a future in TV and he does not, because he’s been such a jerk? How soon until we find out the truth?
