Kate Beckinsale is going to be in big trouble with ASPCA and dog lovers. She may not be in legal trouble – yet – but you can bet dog lovers everywhere are going to be up in arms over Kate’s recent disgusting habits! Peta will probably step in and make some comments too.

Kate went to her salon, but instead of leaving her dog at home, she thought it would be nice to take him. And leave him in the car for hours with no water or cracked windows. Yeah, I see some protesting going on here. From Fame:

Kate Beckinsale spent hours inside the Byron Tracy Salon on November 19, 2009 in Los Angeles, California while her poor little pup sat in the car the whole time. Kate also left all the windows up, no water, his leash and harness on, which could kill a poor little guy if the weather gets hot enough, which southern California is known for, even in winter. PETA might have a bone to pick with Mrs. Beckinsale once they hear about this.

Is there some kind of law against this or is it just cruel for her to do, with no recriminations? The dog didn’t appear harmed, but there were lots of photographers watching it the whole time to prevent it from getting in trouble. Do you think Kate should be punished?
