Mariah Carey agreed to appear at a London shopping center and turn on the Christmas lights if she was granted a few simple requests. Carey wanted to walk down a pink carpet, to butterfly-shaped confetti, while surrounded by 20 white kittens and 100 just-released doves. Normally we’d call BS on this story, but this is the same woman with an entire room dedicated to Hello Kitty.

The Daily Mail reported that Carey‘s demands were denied. As it turns out, having 20 kittens on the premise would violate some sort of health code.
We did manage to source the doves that we were going to release into the sky, but the kittens proved terribly difficult. In the end, it was made clear that due to health and safety, there was no way we could have the animals at Westfield. We do not allow pets into Westfield – that rule would apply for everyone.
