Robert Pattinson admits he felt silly filming a scene from New Moon with his shirt off. In the sequal to Twilight, there’s a scene where Robert Pattinson emerges and takes his top off for the masses. Now, Pattinson‘s a bit luke warm about being a sex symbol to begin with and felt like he was performing some sort of girly nude show in Italy.
He told Parade.com (via People.com):
“I felt pretty goofy stepping out into the sunlight in front of 2,000 people in a town square, ripping my clothes off,” he told Parade.com. “I was essentially doing a striptease.”
He mentions how close he felt to the character (wonder if porn stars can relate) and also the tinges of jealousy he felt for co-star Taylor Lautner.
“I had the same reaction as everybody else,” he says of seeing Lautner for the first time. “It’s like, ‘Jeez, now I have to go to the gym.’ “
