The Today Show cans Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt’s interview. Heidi and Spencer were supposed to appear and promote their book, but supposedly the schedule got changed. How does a schedule get changed on a news show, where it is ever changing and evolving? I think it may have more to do with the Al Roker fiasco in the summer.

After the June interview where Heidi ended up in tears, Al tweeted they should be done with their fifteen minutes of fame. Speidi didn’t like it. Then their book dropped and they need the publicity on it – but apparently it won’t be from the Today crew. From Zimbio:

Sorry to the millions of people who were dying to see Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag have it out with Al Roker again on the Today show this morning. The Hills stars were scheduled to appear on the morning show to promote their book How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture, but NBC nixed their slot at the last minute.

A rep for the show told Usmagazine.com, “Due to a change in the show’s schedule, we had to cancel the interview with Spencer and Heidi Pratt.”

What a convenient excuse…scheduling! Why do you think Heidi and Spencer were canned? I think Al had something to do with it…or else someone finally realized this book is useless.
