Beyonce and Jay Z change last names. Jay Z’s real name is Shawn, so they were Shawn and Beyonce Carter. But since Beyonce’s parents never had boys or some such nonsense, Beyonce wants her name to continue on. So…..drumroll…

….they are now known as Beyonce and Shawn Knowles-Carter. From Digital Spy:
The couple wed in April and have kept their own surnames until now.
However, the pair have decided to combine their last names and be referred to as Knowles-Carter – Jay-Z becoming Shawn Knowles-Carter and his wife Beyoncé Knowles-Carter.
An insider told the Daily Star: “They want to keep Knowles because Beyoncé’s parents didn’t have any sons.
“They’re keen to keep the name going strong, especially if they don’t produce any children themselves.”
If they don’t plan on having children, that’s weird. The name won’t continue on, so why go through the process? I guess they don’t have anything better to do?
