Billy Joel’s daughter Alexa Ray attempts suicide over the weekend it seems. Alexa is the daughter of Billy and Christie Brinkley. Both parents are going through messy divorces and it might have taken its toll on Alexa. Alexa also reportedly had a spat with her boyfriend.

When it was first reported, it said Alexa was in the hospital with breathing problems. Later, it was claimed she took an overdose of drugs and tried to take her life after splitting with her boyfriend. From Fox 411:
“Alexa suffers from similar artistic demons to her dad. She loves fiercely, works super hard and is very difficult on herself,” the source says. “She is sensitive and caring and she took some of the stress of her father’s relationship ending with Katie Lee and her mother’s trial against Peter Cook and internalized some of that. It’s difficult for her to navigate living her semi-public life from her parent’s fame. Adding the breakup with Jimmy to all that and it has been a lot for her to manage.”
Alexa is out of the hospital and went home with Christie. Hopefully she can recover and get help for whatever her problems are. Get well soon!
