Brittany Murphy died today of a heart attack at the age of 32. Murphy went into full cardiac arrest and despite mulitple attempts, could not be revived.

Devon Gale of the Los Angeles Fire Dept said emergency services were called to the house of which she shared with her husband, screenwriter Simon Monjack at 8 a.m. this morning.
As reports by TMZ that Brittany was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
Sources tell TMZ that her mother Sharon Murphy discovered Brittany unconscious in the shower.
Murphy married her husband Monjack in May 2007.
Her rep tells TMZ: ‘In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.’
