Brittany Murphy had a history of drug use and abuse. In the wake of Brittany‘s untimely death, while experts are will scrambling to get autopsy results, many past co-workers and friends have come forward saying the young starlet had drug problems.

For starters, Brittany was mysteriously replaced while filming her latest flick, The Caller, and got bad reviews from crew members while she was filming her last project, Something Wicked.
“Production sources told TheWrap that Murphy was “barely there…she’d go in and out of consciousness in the middle of takes.” This eventually forced the film’s producers to rewrite scenes involving Murphy; most of the cast and crew “presumed she used prescription drugs,” TheWrap reports.
Rumors swirled after her rapid weight loss in 2005 that she was doing copious amounts of cocaine. While Murphy denied this, friends of hers have recently come forward saying she was “living on the edge.”
