Katy Perry and Russell Brand are engaged. Russell was spotted before Christmas shopping for rings and it seems he bought one. He popped the question to Katy over the weekend and reportedly said yes.

The only snag – apparently Katy doesn’t like the ring. Russell has to go back to the drawing board. From Hollyscoop:
“Russell knows Katy’s the one for him.He’s never been into a girl like he has with her and they’re besotted. He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes.”
But apparently the biggest hurdle will be finding time for the actual nuptials. The insider says, “They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work.”
I wonder how Katy’s dad feels about that. Earlier he said Russell was nice, but not the one for Katy. Was that a dare? Katy doesn’t react to being told what not to do very well, just judging by her career and pastor father!
