Paris Hilton sued over shoe design. The company who makes Gwyneth Shoes says Paris copied their heart shaped inner sole idea. Their shoes came out a year before Paris’ did. Oops.

More pictures of Paris after the leap…

Paris had a whole line of shoes come out in 2008. The shoes may have been original ideas, but the heart shaped non-skid pad isn’t. From the Examiner:

Gywneth Shoes, (sic) a shoe company located in Seattle claims that Paris stole their idea to place a heart-shaped pad in the insole of the shoes in her new line of footwear.

They say that they got a patent for the heart cushion idea years ago, in 2007. So what is Paris Hilton doing with it? Paris launched her line of shoes, Paris Hilton shoe collection in early 2008.

Gywneth Shoes is demanding all profits that Paris earned from using the stolen patented idea. Specifically-trademark and patent infringement.

Do you think the shoes could have been in production and overlapped accidentally? Is Paris guilty of seeing the idea and taking it as her own?
