Pepsi Co’s Gatorade drops Tiger Woods’ drink. Pepsi Co is discontinuing its Gatorade drink named after Tiger: Gatorade Tiger Focus. The decision apparently was based on poor sales and not related to Tiger’s alleged affairs.
According to the WSJ, the TV ads featuring Tiger haven’t been aired since the storm erupted over his car crash and relevations about his alleged extramarital affairs
A statement was given by Jennifer Schmidt of Pepsi Co regarding the drop:
“We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010.” – via Examiner
At least this one is based on poor sales not his alleged affairs.
