When Conan O’Brien moves from NBC, it’s likely he’s going to lose some of his beloved characeters which are technically the network’s property. O’Brien has cultivated a few running themes within his sketches that are likely to have a limited shelf life when he jumps networks.

However, as TMZ.com reports, O’Brien may have to make some concession in order to keep the animals.
Sources say Conan and NBC are “close” on his “Tonight Show” exit agreement — but one of the remaining sticking points is intellectual property
. Conan‘s characters — like Triumph, the Pimpbot 5000 and the Masturbating Bear – are all legally the property of NB.
It’s likely Conan O’Brein will have to concede a “non disparagement clause” in order to get his friends. Which means no more trashing NBC.
