Cops think Jon Gosselin ransacking was a stunt. That’s not good, because then Jon could be looking at making a false statement to police! What is up with Jon. Does he need rehab because he got in to some bad company?

Jon claimed it was Hailey Glassman that did the tear up job, however, she hired a lawyer pronto that said she didn’t. From Radar Online:
New York police investigating the “ransacking” of Jon Gosselin’s apartment believe the event was a publicity stunt, sources familiar with the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
A large Japanese chef’s knife pinning a note – allegedly from Hailey – to a dresser particularly strikes investigators as staged, the sources said.
If this was staged, for what reason? Did Jon need insurance money? What purpose would ransacking your own place do. I don’t get it!
