Ellen was steamed at Simon because he was more than an hour late! The diva in him didn’t care. From the New York Daily News:
DeGeneres was none too pleased when Cowell showed up an hour and a half late on “American Idol’s” first day in Hollywood, according to Nikki Finke and Mike Fleming at Deadline.com.
She had moved up the taping of her own show so she could make it to the “Idol” set on time.
Ellen’s new to the gig and she’s very organized and she made a commitment to take this on, and now she’s asking herself, ‘What did I get myself into?’ She called Simon Cowell a prima donna. So right from the start, the chemistry isn’t great,” the source continued.
Simon is leaving American idol for X Factor, so why should he really care. He has oodles of money, and he can’t get fired from his own show…why not be late. He probably had to sleep in! Which side are you on? Team Ellen or team Simon?
