Miley Cyrus told the February issue of Harper’s Bazaar that she’s fine with being a role model, but not a parent. While Miley has certainly done her fair share of family-oriented projects (Hanna Montana, anyone?), methinks she feels a wave of late teen rebellion approaching and doesn’t want to be held responsible.

more Miley after the hop…
She told the magazine (via EOnline.com):
“My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent,” she tells the fashion mag. “My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.”
Miley plans to wrap up Hannah Montana in the next year. Then she’s going to focus on finding Miley and she doesn’t “know exactly who that is yet.”
Well, we hope she has a fun time figuring it out. We’ll certainly be here to document it all. That you can count on.
