Nicole Richie is upset people thought she was anorexic. Remember back in the day — pre babies — when Nicole Richie literally weighed about 80 pounds? Well, she claims all those tabloid accusations of her battling an eating disorder were hurtful and untrue.

For the March issue of Marie Clarie UK (via People) Nicole told the magazine:
“I felt it was a little unfair to say someone has an eating disorder when they don’t. It’s extremely insulting and irresponsible,” she says. “An eating disorder is serious and it’s a disease. I don’t think you can lightly say someone has a disease unless they are openly telling you that they do.”
Forgive us. Her slight frame was probably the result of vegetables and pilates, right? Isn’t that Hollywood’s standard answer for weight loss?
