Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning on suing The News of the World. A few weeks ago, the tabloid printed an explosive piece accusing the pair of being on the brink of break-up. According to the article, the two were dividing their assets and figuring out custody arrangements with the children. All lies. Bitter lies, according to a lawyer for the couple.
The BBC talked to the pair’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, who said:
“The couple’s lawyer, Keith Schilling, called the “widely republished” allegations “false and intrusive”. He added the paper had failed to meet “reasonable demands” for an apology. He said the pair had also asked for a retraction of the allegations, which had subsequently been “widely republished by mainstream news outlets.”
Also, the divorce lawyer the paper claimed was drafting up all the documents says he has never worked with Brad and Angelina. There goes that rumor. Another one bites the dust.
