Joel Madden made a somewhat insensitive tweet at his fiance’s expense today. Apparently over the weekend Nicole and Joel went to go see the new Martin Scorsese thriller, Shutter Island. The movie centers around Leonardo DiCaprio reliving the horrors of his dead, mentally unstable wife while researching a death at a mental institute. Creepy in all the right ways.

But nobody wants to be compared to that! Joel tweeted:
“I went and saw Shutter Island,” Joel tweeted. “Oddly it reminded me of my relationship. I’m pretty sure Nicole pulled the same stuff on me. And here I am.”
Oh, ouch. Sure she loves to read that while changing diapers…
