Sea World trainer Dawn Brancheau killed by a killer whale attack right before the start of the show at the Shamu Stadium in Orlando, Fa earlier this afternoon (Wednesday). It was a tragic and shocking attack witnessed by a lot of park visitors!

more of the attack story after the jump…
The Killer whale named “Tillikum” jumped up from the water; literally grabbed Dawn Brancheau, the 40-year-old experienced female trainer; pulled her into the orca’s tank. Tillikum, the 12,000 pound killer whale dragged Dawn underwater and she drowned.
Witnesses told the Orlando Sentinel that the animal suddenly grabbed Brancheau by the upper arm, tossed her around in his mouth and pulled her beneath the water as dozens of tourists looked on in horror.
Brancheau had worked at the park since February 1994. Ever since she visited SeaWorld with her family about 30 years ago. Her mother Marion Loverde of Indiana said it’s Brancheau’s goal had been to train killer whales.
“Everyone knew that was her dream,” Loverde said.
In a way it reminds me of the tragic death of Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter.
It’s very tragic. R.I.P.

I am no animal rights person, but I have never been a fan of wild animals being put into a cages. I dislike circus’s, Seaworld and zoo’s or any other organization that keeps wild animals penned up. It is evil and wrong.
it is suiped to woker with a whale that has killed people befor
As a lover of all types of animals it pains me to see this killer whale acting it’s name. R.I.P. Dawn……I know that you have already forgiven Tillikum.
SeaWorld should be held responsible for this. Keeping these killer whales in those tanks is like keeping a human being in something the size of a bath tub for 20 years and made to do stupid tricks for food.
It is barbaric and I can’t believe something like this is even allowed.
They are social beings and its no wonder they get angry and do these things. Any human would lash out that way as well.
You reap what you sow, I guess.
So sad. What a tragic accident.
If you go against the nature, nature will go against you….
Its only a lame excuse just to generate money such a wild animal is not kept under safe guard.
