SCARLETT JOHANSSON is an actress and occasional singer. Johansson made her film debut at the age of nine in the 1994 film North. Johansson rose to fame with her role in 1998′s The Horse Whisperer as a teenager.
Johansson went from child star to adult roles with her performances in box office successes namely Sofia Coppola’s Lost in Translation, for which she won a BAFTA Award, which also earned her a Golden Globe Award nomination in 2003. A role in A Love Song for Bobby Long earned her a third Golden Globe Award nomination as the best supporting actress.
Scarjo is also often in the Hollywood gossip news, and is regarded as a Hollywood sex symbol. Johansson appeared on the cover of the March 2006 issue of Vanity Fair in the nude, next to actress Keira Knightley and fashion designer Tom Ford.
