The killer whale, Tillikum that attacked and killed trainer Dawn Brancheau has a violent past. Tillikum has been involved in the deaths of two other people.

more on Tillikum’s violent past after the jump…
As CBS reports: The first death occurred at Sealand of the Pacific in British Columbia. A trainer drowned while in the tank with Tillikum.
After the whale was sold to SeaWorld Orlando, the body of a naked man was found scratched, bruised and draped over Tillikum in July 1999. Daniel Dukes, 27, reportedly made his way past security at SeaWorld, remaining in the park after it had closed. Dukes either jumped, fell, or was pulled into the frigid water of Tilikum’s tank.
A witness to today’s death said that “Tilly [Tillikum] took off really fast in the tank and he came back, shot up in the air, grabbed the trainer by the waist and started thrashing [her] around.”
It’s very scary.

This is really scary. I wonder what would they plan to do with Tillikum. There is always a risk factor that this will happen again some other time.
I think it’s sad that Dawn lost her life but she was working with a 12,000 pound Killer whale. To condem the whale is not the answer.
Tillikum’s place is in the Ocean, not in a tank !!!!!! Free Tillikum !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
