Kathy Ireland swears she wasn’t on any drugs during the Oscars. The former swimsuit model was tapped to be a red carpet interviewer and made — pardon our French — kind of an ass out of herself. While not everyone can be as affable as Ryan Seacrest or Joan Rivers, Ireland was so loopy many wondered if she’d popped a few pills before hitting the ceremony.

Usmagazine.com reports that some bloggers and critics called her everything from a “travesty” to a “brutal pre-Oscar interviewer.” Some even noted that she had a stiff arm (to which she countered was from gardening and child care). Ireland twittered in response ot her critics.
“I cannot please everyone…and frankly I wouldn’t ever want to. Don’t feel embarrassed for me. Had a blast and it was so much FUN!” “No meds or alcohol Angel===just J.O.Y.!” she wrote to one fan, telling another: “Never use drugs and that as a Mom is not a cool or funny suggestion.”
