Lady Gaga sued her ex-producer Rob Fusari. Yesterday, Rob Fusari sued Lady Gaga for $30 million saying the two were in a contract the singer’s legal team wasn’t honoring. His lawsuit claimed he was entitled to 20% of Gaga‘s earnings and even helped her pen one of her most popular hits.

Lady Gaga‘s lawyers fired back today, urging the courts to dismiss his suit saying he was not a licensed talent agent. They also countersued, accusing Fusari of forcing Gaga to enter into a faulty contract when the two worked together.

Fusari made Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, “enter into an unlawful arrangement” when he made her sign a contract giving him rights to her future earnings, the suit says, calling his actions “predatory and financially abusive.”

“The … arrangement was structured in such a way as to mask its true purpose – to provide the defendant unlawful compensation for their services as unlicensed employment agents,” the suit says.

Bad romance, indeed. We”ll keep you posted on how this turns out.
