Oprah Winfrey wants to take Gabourey Sidibe to the Oscars. Sidibe opened up to People magazine that Oprah offered to escort her down the red carpet for the Oscars but Sidibe declined. Wow, go Precious! This girl continuously surprises with her anti-famewhoreitius.

At Thursday night’s Essence Black Women in Hollywood luncheon, Sidibe told People (via The New York Daily News):
“Oprah called me and was like, ‘Hey girl, do you want to ride together?’ ” Sidibe said. “I was like, ‘I got it Oprah, calm down. I don’t want to show up with you. People will think we’re too cool.”
Ha ha. Alas, the refusal wasn’t nearly as bitchy as it initially sounded. She followed up with:
“She’s the only person that I’m continually star-struck by,” Sidibe told People. “When I meet people I get used to them very quickly because everyone seems like a friend because I watch them on TV. But Oprah is the only one I can’t get used to.”
