Categories being montinored are: Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Picture, and Best Director by tracking public mentions across blogs, news articles, forums, and Twitter about the nominees.
MSN says that since they began monitoring the predictions, the clear pick on Jan. 1 for best director within the social sphere was James Cameron. At that time, Kathryn Bigelow was chosen as the predicted winner by the MSN Experts.
Today the social vote for Best Director has drastically changed from a neutral vote for James Cameron to a very positive vote for Kathryn Bigelow.
Kathryn Bigelow is also Roger Ebert’s prediction for Best Director.
As it stands, six out of the six category predictions have aligned with the chosen winners of the MSN Experts forging a dramatic backing for the projections.
