“Will and Grace” star Sean Hayes has come out of the closet for the first time confirming he is gay publicly. Hayes says that he’s spending time with a special someone as he tells The Advocate in it’s April’s cover story.

more Hayes after the hop…

Hayes is best known for his role as flamboyant gay man Jack McFarland in the Emmy-winning sitcom for eight years between 1998 to 2006.

Hayes said he’s annoyed at the pressure to speak on his sexuality earlier.

“Nobody owes anything to anybody,” he said.

“You are your authentic self to whom and when you choose to be, and if you don’t know somebody, then why would you explain to them how you live your life?”

“I feel like I’ve contributed monumentally to the success of the gay movement in America, and if anyone wants to argue that, I’m open to it.” “I spend time with a special someone in my life.

“That’s all I need…I don’t do a lot. I live my life like an 85-year-old man. I’m just quiet. It’s fantastic.”

He’s right though, he’s not obliged to declare his sexuality to anyone if he doesn’t want to.

Sean is 39 originally from Chicago, Illinois. He studied piano performance and conducting, with a special focus on the music of Mozart. He moved to L.A. in 1995 to become a stand up comedian, a stage actor and he became an actor in TV commericials.

Will and Grace was one of my favorites for many years! I love Jack McFarland.
