CHRISTINA AGUILERA Biography
Christina Aguilera is a recording artist and actress. Aguilera starred in the Disney Channel’s television series The Mickey Mouse Club from 1993–1994. She later signed with RCA Records after recording “Reflection”, which was the theme song for the animated movie Mulan (1998).
In 1999, Aguilera rose to fame after her debut album Christina Aguilera, which was a commercial success that gave the world three number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100—”Genie in a Bottle”, “What a Girl Wants”, and “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You).” On talented singer’s fourth album, Stripped (2002), the album’s second single, “Beautiful,” was a huge success and helped the album’s commercial performance with much Hollywood gossip news over Aguilera’s image.
After 2002, Christina has had mixed success with her albums, but since 2002, she has had much control over the creation of her albums. Before then, she was commercially successful with all her music, while following all that RCA dictated. Whenever an artist is willing to risk it all to be creative, it should be applauded.
