Courtney Love denies rumors that she wants Robert Pattinson to play Kurt Cobain in an upcoming biopic. Last week, it was widely reported that Courtney was casting a film about her late husband’s life and wanted Pattinson to play Cobain and Scarlett Johannsson to play herself. While the Internet giggled at these suggestions, Love fired back and said the rumor was “stupid.”
She told The Canadian Press:
“Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him?” she says. “That’s just wrong, no offense. I watched the Twilight stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenaged girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”
Love would cast either Ryan Gosling (which seems odd) or James McAvoy as the Nirvana lead singer. She also would like Sting‘s wife, Trudie Styler, to work behind the scenes to “ensure the movie is done right.”
No word on whether or not she’d like ScarJo to play herself.

I vote for Joe Anderson to play Kurt…he was Max in Across the Universe
Um…im sorry but getting Robert Pattinson to play Kurt Cobain would probably be the best decision that woman has made in years. He can sing, play guitar, piano and he can act. Not to mention he is gorgeous. I think he’d be great in the role. So for her to say that it would be “stupid” to cast him just shows she truely has fried all her braincells. I mean i do get that there are some people that can in their minds only associate him w/ Twilight or Edward Cullen but he’s not Edward Cullen and he is not only Twilight. He is very talented and she would be very lucky to have him play the role. People need to realize that just because he was Edward Cullen in Twilight doesn’t mean its impossible for him to have any real talent, because he does have it. But to each their own.
My thoughts exactly Tarra…I don’t understand how Robert portraying Kurt Cobain associates with his character Edward…He is an actor & he adapts well to whatever persona he is playing…He seems to put his heart & soul into trying to become the person he is playing the role of…I also know that the movie itself is about Kurt Cobain (RIP) & not about Robert Pattinson but if I were making a movie I’d want someone like that to play the part and capture the viewers hearts because as most know he does that so well..So as far as “who would cast him,” apparently someone that wants their movie to be watched
huge fan of pattinson and i mean no disrespect but come on how can he possibly play someone as amazing as kurt, this movie shouldnt even be happening its disrespectful to his memory.
