The Jersey Shore cast is currently holed up in Miami, but will soon travel back to New Jersey. Today executives from MTV told EOnline.com that while Snooki, The Situation and friends are in Miami for the week, as soon as the boardwalk gets back to its fist-pumping summer-time feel.

more Jersey Shore after the hop…
MTV went on to say that the last season will be split between Miami and New Jersey, and 495 Productions is already looking for the next big thing in terms of trashy beach partiers:
“The production company behind Jersey Shore, is working on a spinoff dubbed the Persian Version. It will focus on Iranian-American men and women who love to party as much as their Italian-American counterparts, according to 495′s rep, Bret Hansen.
Producers and Doron Ofir Casting are scouring Beverly Hills for applicants who are 21 or older, “appear younger than 30 and are outrageous, outspoken and a proud Persian-American.”
“It’s time to show the world that being Persian-American is a celebration of the American dream,” said Ofir in the casting call.”
SIGH. Would you watch a Jersey Shore like show with Persian Americans? Or do you think it would be a copycat show and is a lame idea?

I read that the italian/american cast on Jersey Shore will be replaced by persian/americans.
I’m 50 and have lived in Toms River ( which is only 1 town away from Seaside Hgts) all my life AND when I was in my 20s I not only went clubbing in Seaside, but worked on the beach in Seaside Heights, handing out umbrellas and checking badges so I KNOW that the reason Jersey Show Show on MTV is ONLY popular because of the italian cast that come down from up north NJ and NY. It’s the reason Sopranos was such a popular show, The italians in north Jersey and NY are very tight knit, family oriented, crude , funny stylish, LOUD etc etc and it was the same when I was young , the people from up north have been coming to the jersey shore for YEaarssss, I mean I hate to break the news to MTV, but snooki, pauly D etc are NOT new to the people who live year round on the jersey shore, they’re just an example of most of the italian americans that live up north. It’s ALWAYS been fun to watch “bennys” , they love the beach but they hate water and sand, they love their tans, in other words, Pauly D, Ronnie and Situation and Vinny are all the living breathing stereotype of the crowd that has been coming to Seaside forever !…same goes for the gals in that cast, they are VERY REAL, to replace that cast with anybody BUT the crowd that actually comes to the shore, the show will fall apart in no time, however if you replace current cast members with a new group of italians from up north, it’ll still be successful because the reality is that that particular cast is not unique, the only diff between them and a lot of the young italians up north is that the theyre on TV and their clones haven’t been asked to be on tv BUT theyre out there
OOPS, forgot to mention that my point is that Sopranos and Jersey Shore are fun to watch because in the day of political correctness, i think we all like living vicariously thru the very realistic portrayal of most the italian-americans that live on the east coast anyway ..they’re loud, well usually not shy and say what’s on their minds, devoted to friends and family and I think most people are envious of how honest they are without being apologetic, not afraid of what other people think, I would love to be that way.
I watch Jersey Shore with my kid because it reminds me of my youth hanging out in Seaside AND it’s those 2 shows helped revive tourism in NJ, I don’t think you can get that by watching any other group of people
