Jim Carrey gave Jenny McCarthy 25 million when they split. Apparently, this was shut-up money so Jenny doesn’t go and blab to the tabloids about all of Jim‘s “strange habits.” According to Star magazine, Jenny McCarthy realized Jim would never marry her almost immediately and asked for a lump sum of cash in order to ensure a bright future for her and her son. Carrey obliged with $5 million for every year they were together.

This seems a bit odd. Why would Jenny McCarthy demand money? Like it’s Jim‘s responsibility to take care of her — which, c’mon, it isn’t. As Star reports, Jim is one big weirdo:
“If Jim doesn’t like you, he won’t even be civil toward you,” the insider tells Star. “He’ll ignore you and refuse to shake your hand – and stare at you like you’re from outer space! He also locks himself in a room with a statue of Buddha and obsessively prays for hours on end. And sometimes, he treated Jenny like a servant, barking at her to get him a drink or turn down the music. It was embarrassing to watch…[Jim]… would also stay in bed for days, says the source, “not changing his clothes, eating or answering his phone. Still, Jenny would open the curtains, get him to shower and cheer him up. I don’t know how she did it.”
So Jenny McCarthy was basically a live-in nurse masquerading as his girlfriend?
Do you buy this? Seems a bit far-fetched, but then again, odder things have happened.
