Katie Holmes is set to portray First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy in “The Kennedys” on the History Channel’s first scripted miniseries. It’s an eight-hour program about the famous Kennedy family.

Greg Kinnear will play President John F. Kennedy; Barry Pepperwill casted as Robert Kennedy who served as U.S. Attorney General during his brother’s JF Kennedy’s administration. Tom Wilkinson set to play the patriarch of the family, Joseph Kennedy.
Filming will start in June this year and “The Kennedys” is scheduled to air on the History Channel in early 2011.
