After eleven years of marriage, ex-NFL running back, Tiki Barber, left his pregnant wife Ginny for 23-year-old intern, Traci Lynn Johnson. Wow. Who hasn’t cheated these days? While very few details have leaked out, what’s most surprising about this turn of events is how much Barber spoke out in the past about how his father cheated and walked out on his family.

As The New York Post reported, Tiki told the press a few years ago:
“I don’t give a [bleep] that the relationship didn’t work,” he said of his parents’ split in a 2004 Post interview. “Not only did he abandon her, I felt like he abandoned us for a lot of our lives. I have a hard time forgiving that.”
The paper also reported that his wife Ginny found out about the affair last year. Tiki soon moved out of their Upper East Side home. He released this statement today:
“After 11 years of marriage, Ginny and I have decided to separate. This decision was a painful one, but we are moving forward amicably and will continue to work together to raise our children with the love and dedication they have always known.”

No wonder I haven’t seen Tiki out in the local playground with his boys. Lately I’ve only seen them with one of their grandparents. His kids are such sweet, nice kids who play with mine.
