Jesse James father denied that he was ever abusive. Jesse James cried to Nightline a few nights ago that he was unfaithful to Sandra Bullock due to low self-esteem after suffering through an abusive father. He claimed his Dad beat him up so often that “My whole childhood, I never had a chance to be a kid. … I was always scared.”

It’s foggy logic how that makes cheating on his wife OK, but all of that aside, Jesse‘s father denies that any abuse ever occurred.
“I never even remember spanking my kids,” he told the site. “He was the apple of my eye.”
But in Jesse James‘ defense, his sister told the media that Jesse and his father had a tumultuous relationship and he was “very abusive.”
