When one comes to hear his story, it’s really sad. Downey Jr. said his father Robert Downey Sr. has given him drug since he was 8 years old and didn’t stop there. Tell me, can you really blame him for having been addicted to drugs? What kind of a father would give drugs to his own kid or even someone else’s kids? Sad.
Downey Jr says ”When the door clicks shut, then you are safe,” “There is nothing aside from a rogue correctional officer that can do you harm if you have the right cellie. You are actually in the safest place on Earth. Safe from the intruders.”
For Downey, his intruders were his drug addictions.
He told Rolling Stone in a recent interview:”Smoking dope and smoking coke, you are rendered defenseless. The only way out of that hopeless state is intervention.”
Robert, who’s recovered from drug addictions is looking forward to the future which includes growing old with his wife, Susan Downey.
Bravo Robert, you’ve come a long way.
