The Jersey Shore house is STD central says the show’s creator. Ugh. Why would the show creator – if she wants to continue doing reality shows – even advertise this information? I bet The Situation and a few of the guys won’t be able to hook up as much now!

Ick. What did they think, creating a show that glamorizes hooking up? MTV should be to blame if there is a problem…
In a roundtable discussion of reality show execs published in The Hollywood Reporter, SallyAnn Salsano, creator of “Jersey Shore,” said STDs are a constant concern.
“I do a full medical (for cast members), but I also do a lot of STD stuff,” she said.
“Like everyone on the set has to take (herpes medication) Valtrex.”
“We hand it out like M&Ms,” Salsano said. “‘Hey kids, it’s time for Valtrex!’ It’s like a herpes nest. They’re all in there mixing it up.”
Hmmm…do you think they hand it out as a precaution or they truly need it? She isn’t clear on that. I bet the Jersey Shore kids will come out with something to say on this declaration today, what do you think?

Isn’t that a HIPPA violation, you know, discussing your patients’ medical conditions/pharmaceutical needs in the open like that? Pretty sure this is false, no legitimate physician would violate privacy restrictions so blatantly. I would know, I’m pre-med.
