Angelina Jolie insists she was a cool kid. While many hot Hollywood starlets grow up to lament a horrendous childhood of strife, teasing and ugly duckling syndrome, Angie Jo is not one of these cases. She told Parade magazine recently that was always a cool kid growing up and never suffered the usual courtyard teasing.

“I was actually quite a cool kid. I was never teased. I never had any trouble from anybody. I was not tough. I was certainly independent and bold… But I was never satisfied. I had trouble sleeping. I didn’t really fit. I always feel that I’m searching for something deeper, something more, more.”
She also goes on to say that may people are “lost” in Hollywood because they were never given the love they needed as children. Regardless of the fact she’s had troubled path with her father, Jon Voigt, Jolie says this isn’t the case with her.
“I’m lucky because I was raised with so much love that I can take a lot of knocks and not take anything personally.”
