John Mayer says he’s learned after that disastrous interview with Playboy where he referred to Jessica Simpson as sexual napalm. In fact, he’s almost playing it up like he’s a reformed man after these three or so months of silence. He opened up to Matt Lauer on ‘The Today Show’ about what he’s learned in the wake of Playboy-gate.

He said:
“I learned…Don’t talk just to see if you have something to say. Talking just to see if you have something to say is a really bad way of finding out you had nothing to say…. I done goofed.”
