This story kicks off the rag’s 2010 Style & Design Issue in ultimate Complex style. Complex has this to say,
Unfortunately Lindsay got caught up in the madness—Cannes, court, and conviction—before we had a chance to interview her, so we instead used the cover story to ask the question everyone’s forgetting: what’s it like to be LiLo right now? For all the hand-wringing and schadenfreude everyone seems to love indulging in, this is still a human being, and one who’s contending with a world that clearly wants her to fail. Not us, though—if it were our call, all she’d do is win. We got your back, Linds!
One of the highlights of the story: Several news sources, including the AP, announce that they have pre-written Lindsay’s obituary so they don’t have to scramble at the last minute like they did with Heath Ledger and Brittany Murphy. Former friends of Lindsay are quoted as saying, “I expect the call any minute now that she’s dead.” We’re quoted as saying, “Is the reason that you’re ‘former friends’ because you’re so backstabby that she cut you off?”
