Angelina Jolie supposedly claimed veganism almost killed her….but when was she a vegan? Angelina has not even been a vegetarian, so were her vegan days 15 or 20 years ago, when she was in to the super thin modeling?

Angelina did drugs waaaaay back before her kids. Was it then she was a vegan?
“I joke that a big, juicy steak is my beauty secret,” Jolie, 35, recently told reporters. “But seriously, I love red meat.
“I was a vegan for a long time, and it nearly killed me. I found I was not getting enough nutrition.”
It seems that if she had really said this, the reporters would have been all over Angelina asking more specifics. Anything Angelina says or does is usually picked apart by questions, so I’m thinking this could be a made up quote. Do you think she was really a vegan or were her comments taken out of context?
