We all know Duff made her fortune being an actress; as for Comrie, he’s the heir to a fortune! Comrie’s father, Bill, is the founder of “The Brick”, the furniture giant in Edmonton. Bill’s net worth has been estimated to be as high as $500 million. Comrie’s NHL nickname, “The Brick,” comes from the family business.
Now that explains the $1 million engagement ring and a birthday gift of a 100 grand Mercedes among the many many expensive gifts he’s showered her with.
A source estimated, The Saturday ceremony “was out of a storybook, costing well over half a million dollars.”
