EXCLUSIVE..Critically-acclaimed actor and headline-maker Mel Gibson enjoys being back on set Monday to film the action thriller “Edge of Darkness” co-starring Robert DeNiro. Gibson plays a homicide detective who clearly gets his hands dirty (and bloody) while investigating his daughter’s murder. As the Oscar winner made several trips from his trailer to the set, he showed various states of bloodiness, with spatters of blood on his face, hands, and shoulder, and a shirt soaked through with blood. He seemed gracious and engaging with production assistants, and his 52-year-old frame looked strong and healthy. During a costume change, he slipped into a tank top, pajama bottoms, and Croc sandals, and picked his nose while joking with security.
