The music video will last just seconds longer than the former title-holder, Michael Jackson’s Ghosts, which timed in at 39 minutes and 31 seconds.
West said the film-noir-style movie will be an “epic piece of art” based on his new song Runaway which he debuted September 12 at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
The song’s story is inspired by Kanye’s own story. A phoenix that falls to earth, is severely criticised and then burns herself to escape. (Click here to read the song’s lyrics, it’s so Kanye)
“I threw a Molotov cocktail on my career last year, in a way, and I had to come back as a better person,” Kanye West’s referring to his widely criticized behavior at the VMA last year.
West later apologised for his actions via Twitter and reunited with Swift at the 2010 awards show.
Kanye tweeted, “I want to win there hearts back so I can continue to bring my take on culture to the masses with a clean opinion. It starts with this… I’m sorry Taylor”
