Russell Brand was charged with a misdemeanor charge of simple battery on Friday night. Russell Brand and Katy Perry were scheduled to board a flight to Las Vegas from LAX on Friday, but the two were held up after Russell exploded on a photographer.

As per usual, the pair were being snapped by a slew of paparazzi – but this time Russell Brand‘s tempter got the best of him.
“Brand reportedly began pushing and striking photographers snapping pictures of the famous pair. One of those paparazzos then placed Brand under citizen’s arrest. Brand was then interviewed by airport police and taken into custody. He and Perry, 24, did not board their schedule Delta flight to Las Vegas.”
To make a long story short, Brand was released with a misdemeanor charge of battery. What was Katy’s take? She tweeted:
“If you cross the line & try an put a lens up my dress, my fiancé will do his job & protect me.”
Aws. I think the Citizen’s Arrest is the funniest part of this story. Citizen’s arrest? I didn’t know anyone actually did that!
