Victoria Beckham’s reincarnation from fake-tanned style cul-de-sac to leading fashion designer was completed yesterday when British Fashion Council revealed that her eponymous label had been shortlisted for its Designer Brand of the Year award, sitting alongside fashion heavyweights Mulberry, Burberry and Pringle.
