Alicia Keys tweeted the news about her new motherhood status via Twitter. Alicia and hubby Swizz Beats had the baby on Thursday night and over the weekend Alicia sent the message to her fans.
She made the announcement via Twitter, which kind of surprised everyone. How did she keep her due date such a secret? From Celebrity Cafe:
Alicia Keys gave birth to her first child, Egypt Daoud Dean, on Thursday, October 14 in New York City. Three days later, she told the world how blissful she is about being a new mom. She tweeted, “There is no word to properly describe LOVE, to describe BLISS, to a express a FEELING like this!!!” she added, “Thank U 4 your love, support and prayers!”
Egypt Daoud? What kind of a name is that? I wonder how soon Alicia will be up and making a lullaby album for baby Egypt? Isn’t that what all singing mothers do – head to the recording studio and make music?
