The latest celebrity couple to split is none other than Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. Miley‘s insatiably doting stage parents filed for divorce today in Tennessee citing the aged old “irreconcilable differences.”
The couple married in 1992 (around the time of Billy Ray‘s big country hit, Achey Breaky Heart) and soon after little Miley arrived. In addition to Miley, the couple have two other children.
While we don’t have any details at the moment. those close to the couple said it was “a long time coming” (whatever that means) and that the split is best for the Cyrus clan.
Their rep released this statement:
“As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family,” the couple said in a statement, via E! News. “We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”
