Jessica Simpson decided it was not in her best interest to sing next to a group of men wearing camo, so she and her father told the group, Singers 4 Troops, to take a hike!
Singers 4 Troops are a group of Iraqi and Afghanistani war veterans that were slated to sing next to Jessica Simpson for a taped special in New York City’s Roseland Ballroom special last week.
“Jessica’s dad, Joe Simpson, effectively kicked them off the show because he didn’t like what they were wearing. They were in camo pants and blazers, the same outfits they wore to sing for Gen. David Petraeus on the USS Intrepid. They were told they couldn’t perform unless they were wearing tuxedos.”
Ha! This of course ruffled the feathers of everyone associated with the military, which looks like J. Simp can add yet another group to her list of enemies. Of course, Simpson‘s camp denies all this and says the group didn’t sing due to time restraints.
